What to do if your glasses are uncomfortable

Do your glasses feel... not quite right? It's time to take action! We're here to tell you how.

If your glasses feel uncomfortable – whether that's the way they feel on your face, how the lenses appear, or if you experience symptoms from wearing them like headache or eye strain – something is probably not right with them. As soon as you notice signs of discomfort, the first thing you should do is make an appointment with your optometrist.

Your optometrist will be able to identify any issues with your glasses that are causing you discomfort. It could be a lens issue, or it could be to do with the shape and fit of the frame.

An important thing to remember about glasses is that they should always feel comfortable on your face. Aside from maybe some very gentle pressure after wearing them all day, you should never feel uncomfortable or any sense of pain while you're wearing them. Glasses are about aiding your vision and lifestyle, not about making it worse!
